If you want to get the word out about your virtual tour to your current and potential customers, one of the best ways to do so is through social media. Here’s how to post your tour to the four most relevant social media sites for businesses. For some of these, you need the original 360º photographs, which your photographer should give to you if you ask for them.
With Facebook, it’s wildly easy. Once you have your original 360º photos, you only have to post them! Make sure to post your photos one at a time, and also make sure that the option to display the photo as a 360º photo is checked.
The easiest way to post your tour is to put a link in your bio or in your story, but don’t forget that your story is only up for 24 hours. However, certain apps, such as Swipeable, support turning your 360º photos into posts. This app turns one panoramic or 360º photo into up to ten separate photos that you can post all at once, so you can only use one 360º photo at a time.
Twitter currently doesn’t support a tweet of a 360º photo, but you can still put links into tweets! Tweet a link out to your followers and pin it to the top of your Twitter page, and you can also put the link in your Twitter bio.
Like Twitter, LinkedIn doesn’t support 360º photos, but if you’ve created a YouTube video with your 360º photos, you can embed your video into LinkedIn posts!
